Marriott International, Inc. is seeking a current university student who is passionate and keen to establish a long-term career in the hospitality industry. The intern will be supporting Marriott’s Consumer Operations team, with key responsibilities including supporting strategic planning, developing impactful presentations, and assisting with statistical reports.
Job Responsibility:
Support strategic planning and pull-through of all Select / Premium / Luxury Brand initiatives and programs relevant to the region
Think creatively and practically to support the development, planning, and implementation of Brand programming or initiatives
Develop impactful presentations and reports and collaborate with stakeholders and maintain organized documentation
Support key stakeholders on key openings and focus hotels within the Select / Premium/ Luxury brand portfolio
Assist with the design and preparation of statistical reports as required
Produce and distribute team correspondence, presentations and other related documents as required
Requirements:
Undergraduate in Social Sciences, Business Management, Economics or Marketing preferred
Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident Holder or valid student pass / work holiday pass
Eligible for undergraduate in a Singapore registered university program / undergraduate or graduate of a university in Singapore, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom or United States
Prepared to commit to a six months’ internship
Excellent command of written and spoken English
Strong analytical, teamwork and organizational skills
Knowledge of Marriott lodging products, cultures, and brands
Organized, detail-oriented and deadline-sensitive
Proficient in Microsoft Office (namely Excel and PowerPoint, Smartsheet and other project management tools would be an added advantage)
Positive attitude and enthusiasm in the performance of responsibilities
Ambitious, highly motivated and an ability to thrive in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment, and a high degree of accountability
Ability to develop and maintain relationships e.g., associates, customers, owners, agencies, partners
Ability to design and implement tracking systems for documents and spreadsheets
Nice to have:
Proficient in Smartsheet and other project management tools
