This is a 1st Year Associate role with the Industrials Investment Banking coverage team. Responsibilities include participating in deal origination and transaction execution, performing in-depth analyses, providing recommendations to clients, and collaborating with team members. Required qualifications include 2+ years of Investment Banking Program experience, FINRA certifications, and travel availability.
Job Responsibility:
Participate in analyzing companies and client investments
Make recommendations to clients on investments
Identify opportunities for process improvements within Investment Banking Program
Review and analyze market data, valuation analyses, models, and presentations that require research, evaluation, selection of alternatives, and exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables
Present recommendations for resolving business challenges and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Interact with internal and external customers
Requirements:
2+ years of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Registration FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire
Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire
Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire
Ability to travel up to 5%
Ability to work outside of regular business hours
Nice to have:
2+ years of capital markets experience
Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
Strong financial modeling skills
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Bachelor's Degree with academic distinction and coursework in financial accounting and corporate finance
Experience in investment banking
Professional experience through internships, part-time or full time work, and/or extracurricular activities
Dedication to building a career in Investment Banking
Ability to work collaboratively in a demanding, highly focused, deadline driven, fast paced team environment, with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results
