Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Deployment Technician for a 3-month contract to assist with imaging and deployment. The ideal candidate will have experience with Windows OS imaging, software installation, hardware setup, and troubleshooting.

Job Responsibility:

Image, configure, and deploy a large number of new laptops following standardized procedures
Install and configure software applications as per company requirements
Ensure all security policies, patches, and updates are applied before deployment
Perform quality control checks to verify successful imaging and functionality
Physically set up and distribute laptops to end users
Provide basic end-user support, including initial login assistance and troubleshooting post-deployment issues
Maintain accurate records of deployed devices, asset tags, and configurations
Assist with decommissioning and proper disposal of old hardware if needed
Work collaboratively with the IT team to ensure timely and efficient deployment

Requirements:

Previous experience in IT support, deployment projects, or desktop support
Proficiency with Windows OS imaging tools (e.g., MDT, SCCM, Clonezilla, or similar)
Familiarity with Active Directory, Intune, and Microsoft 365 environments
Basic troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures
Excellent communication skills and ability to assist non-technical users
Ability to lift and move IT equipment as required

Nice to have:

Experience with Windows Autopilot or similar deployment technologies
Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell) for automation
Prior experience working on large-scale IT hardware refresh projects
