Job Description:

Our client near Basingstoke are seeking an IT infrastructure Engineer to oversee and maintain there IT systems, this is a pivotal role within the organisation as without you the business will nit be able to function efficiently.

Job Responsibility:

Building, installing, configuring Vmware 7/8 hosts
Patching and maintaining Vmware hosts whilst minimising system downtime
Provisioning virtual PC's and servers
Maintaining our systems in line with ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials plus
Installing, configuring Catalyst/Meraki switches
Proactive monitoring of the business systems
Recommending areas of improvement in the IT infrastructure to meet and maintain system growth
Occasional travel to other sites

Requirements:

Strong working knowledge (CCNA/CCNP) Catalyst/Meraki networking including VLANs, Subnets, QOS, and Routing Protocols
Strong working knowledge of Vmware 7/8, ability to patch and maintain clusters and standalone hosts
Excellent IT technical knowledge
Microsoft certification or qualified by years of experience
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems, active directory, Microsoft Office, SQL, networking, and computer hardware
Occasional remote weekend working may be required for maintenance/patching to minimise production downtime
