Job Description:

This fully onsite role in Des Moines, IA, offers the opportunity to be a key contributor to the design, implementation, and security of state-of-the-art IT systems. You will work on mission-critical systems, improving infrastructure performance and driving operational excellence in a high-impact environment.

Job Responsibility:

Build and maintain robust IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networks designed for maximum performance and reliability
Create and implement system architectures and integration solutions to meet organizational demands
Analyze and troubleshoot system performance issues, optimizing resources for increased efficiency
Bolster system security by managing updates, patches, and vulnerability assessments
Automate tasks using scripting tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational agility
Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and software development teams to support seamless application deployment
Document key configurations, processes, and operating procedures to ensure knowledge continuity
Contribute to disaster recovery initiatives by helping plan and execute system recovery strategies.

Requirements:

5 years of hands-on experience as a Systems Engineer or in a related technical role
Expertise in operating systems like Windows, Linux, and macOS
Proficiency with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and security best practices
Experience with scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash, with a knack for automation
Excellent troubleshooting abilities, with a detail-oriented mindset and strong communication skills.

Nice to have:

A bachelor’s degree is highly desired and will set you apart from the competition
Acquiring industry-leading certifications such as CCNA or MCSE will boost your candidacy.
