Job Description:

Join our award-winning care home in Pontcanna, Cardiff, recognised as one of the Top 20 Care Homes in Wales on carehome.co.uk. Our luxury home provides outstanding Nursing and Residential care for 69 residents in a warm, elegant, and supportive environment for both residents and staff. We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to support our dedicated culinary team, helping to prepare and serve nutritious meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized kitchen environment.

Job Responsibility:

Assist with food preparation, ensuring meals are ready on time and meet high-quality standards
Keep the kitchen clean and organized, following hygiene and safety regulations
Receive and store deliveries, ensuring stock is handled correctly
Follow food safety guidelines, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and safety
Support the wider team, contributing to the smooth running of our kitchen

Requirements:

Previous experience in a kitchen role is beneficial but not essential
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and handling (training provided)
Strong organizational skills to keep the kitchen running efficiently
A positive, team-focused attitude with a passion for delivering great service
