Job Description:

As a Lead Assembler at Baxter, you will ensure production operations meet high standards of quality and efficiency. Responsibilities include managing labor assignments, ensuring compliance with customer satisfaction and regulatory requirements, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires experience in a manufacturing environment, strong leadership skills, and dedication to safety and quality.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensures all lines have appropriate labor to meet expectations and manages MAR operator assignments
  • Maintains contact with customer departments to ensure awareness of any product or process problems that affect customer satisfaction
  • Leads initiatives to maintain a continuous improvement environment around the Manufacturing operations by implementing and innovating with six sigma, lean manufacturing, VSM’s, and other methodologies to reduce waste, increase productivity, quality, and safety
  • Controls and executes production shift schedule and works with support departments to set up actions when they are not achieved
  • Identifies, communicates, and works on issues in a good timing to avoid impact in production schedule and/or operations
  • Documents and records regulatory requirements in the Batch folder (parameters, test, and verifications)
  • Assists root cause analysis and investigations to address safety, quality, and/or productivity issues.

Requirements:

  • Highschool Diploma
  • 1-3 years of lead experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing systems, operations, and work centers
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Dedication to safety and quality regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
  • Ability to put on accurate PPE such as suitable gown, eye wear, face protection, shoe coverings, and gloves.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • knowledge of six sigma, lean manufacturing, and other productivity methodologies
  • ability to implement continuous improvement processes.
