Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Specialty Software Engineer to join the dynamic Mainframe Modernization Team, working on Core Modernization projects, developing highly resilient Micro Services, and leveraging Gen AI LLMs for acceleration.

Job Responsibility:

Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions
Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
Mentor less experienced software engineers
Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
Lead team to achieve objectives
Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively

Requirements:

5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent
5+ years of application development in Java or Python, Mongo DB
Experience in using LLMs

Nice to have:

Proficiency in data modelling techniques for relational and non-relational databases
Strong knowledge of all cloud concepts and production resilience concepts
Ability to lead and influence others and critique their work
Experience in working with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and big data storage like Data Lake
Ability to troubleshoot analyze performance bottlenecks
