Job Description:

Our growing Mental Health Law practice in Downtown Minneapolis is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone with prior experience, or the drive to quickly and diligently acquire the skills, to support our Mental Health Practice Group.

Job Responsibility:

Provide administrative and legal support for the firm’s Mental Health Law practice
Draft, proofread, and file legal documents related to guardianship, conservatorship, and emergency motions
Correspond with clients, courts, and other legal professionals in a professional and timely manner
Manage case files and ensure accuracy in data entry and document control using NetDocs
Organize and prioritize tasks daily to support a fast-paced, high-impact practice area

Requirements:

Highly Organized: Able to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy
Exceptional Communicator: Demonstrates effective oral and written communication, easily collaborating with attorneys, clients, and other professionals
Autonomous yet Collaborative: Capable of working independently while being a supportive team player
Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced or willing to learn NetDocs for document management
