Job Description:

The company specializes in solar, wind, energy storage, and green hydrogen projects across the EMEA region. We are seeking highly skilled and motivated legal professionals with experience in renewable energy projects to join the team in Shanghai.

Job Responsibility:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts for renewable energy projects
  • ensure contracts align with project requirements, company policies, and legal standards
  • draft, review, and negotiate Operation and Maintenance (O&M) agreements for renewable energy assets
  • advise on legal and commercial risks associated with O&M arrangements
  • prepare and review other project-related documents, including supply agreements, interconnection agreements, and land leases
  • ensure compliance with local laws and regulations in the EMEA region
  • monitor and advise on legal and regulatory developments in the renewable energy sector across the EMEA region
  • ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • manage disputes related to EPC contracts, O&M agreements, and other project documentation
  • collaborate with external counsel and internal stakeholders to resolve disputes efficiently
  • work closely with project development, finance, and operations teams to provide legal support throughout the project lifecycle
  • provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on legal and contractual matters

Requirements:

  • 3 to 15 years of legal experience, preferably in the renewable energy sector or related industries
  • proven experience in drafting and negotiating EPC contracts and O&M agreements
  • familiarity with renewable energy projects in the EMEA region is highly desirable
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • attention to detail and a proactive approach to legal issues

Nice to have:

  • Master’s degree (LLM)
  • familiarity with renewable energy projects in the EMEA region
