Job Responsibility:

Provide strategic legal advice on various matters related to Electronics business, i.e., semiconductor, optronics, and surface solutions
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and legal requirements
Conduct legal assessments of complex cases and provide recommendations to mitigate risks
Support projects related to business development deals and legal entity restructuring
Collaborate closely with the General Manager and other members of the business leadership team to drive strategic initiatives
Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations impacting the electronics materials industry e.g., economic security regulations
Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to support business operations

Requirements:

Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree from an accredited institution
Proficiency in both spoken and written Japanese and English
Admission to practice in law in Japan and/or common law jurisdiction is plus but not mandatory
Minimum 7 years of legal experience
Experience in semiconductor, optronics (display) or other electronics industries is plus but not mandatory
Experience in Life Science and/or Healthcare industries is plus
Strong understanding of contract law, corporate law, and legal compliance issues
Proven ability to manage complex legal matters and provide practical solutions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have:

Experience in semiconductor, optronics (display) or other electronics industries
Experience in Life Science and/or Healthcare industries
