Job Description:

Job Responsibility:

Corporate & commercial advisory. Provide strategic legal guidance to the executive team on business decisions, ensuring alignment with goals and laws especially in fin-tech and digital assets
Cross-Border Transactions, taking lead in due diligence for global partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance across borders
Advise on corporate governance, ethical standards, and legal risks, ensuring sound decision-making and compliance with best practices
Oversee policies, collaborating with Compliance team to ensure regulatory compliance with international regulations in the rapidly evolving fin-tech and digital asset industries, ensuring proactive engagement with regulators and implementing internal policies to mitigate risk
Represent the company in legal proceedings and manage external counsel to defend the company’s interests in disputes
Support global expansion efforts by advising on legal complexities and regulatory considerations for strategic partnerships
Develop policies to mitigate legal risks, ensuring ongoing regulatory adherence and fostering business growth

Requirements:

Minimum 6+ years of experience in corporate or commercial law in a law firm or in-house legal department, focusing on high-value contracts, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance
Extensive experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing complex agreements such as NDAs, service contracts, partnerships, M&As, and licensing deals
Proven track record of conducting due diligence for cross-border transactions, mergers, and acquisitions
Strong background in banking, financial or investment services, fin-tech, digital assets, or technology sectors is preferred
Expertise in relevant regulatory demands such as data privacy, KYC and digital assets is an added advantage
