Job Description:

We are in search of a diligent and efficient Legal Secretary to join our team in the legal industry, located in McLean, Virginia, 22102, United States. As a Legal Secretary, you will be essential in providing administrative and legal support to attorneys in our law firm, focusing on residential and commercial real estate, tax law, estate planning, and business law.

Job Responsibility:

Coordinate and manage attorneys' schedules
Ensure all legal documents are filed accurately and within deadlines
Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files
Manage incoming and outgoing communications
Act as the point of contact between attorneys, clients, courts, and external parties
Assist with the preparation of pleadings
Carry out other administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

Proficiency in answering multi-line phone systems
Familiarity with law office procedures, operations, and protocols
Proven experience in law practice, preferably in estate law
Proficient in dictation
Certification as a Notary Public or willingness to obtain such certification
Experience in dealing with witnesses
Knowledge of estate law, including estate planning, estate sales, and estate tax
Ability to manage and coordinate estate planning activities
Experience in handling estate sales
Understanding of estate tax laws and regulations
