Job Description:

We are seeking a Litigation Associate for a midsized East Bay firm. The role will involve working on construction defect and real estate matters. This role will not only challenge your legal skills but will also provide an environment that fosters teamwork and collective effort.

Job Responsibility:

Work on a variety of litigation matters
Utilize your excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with clients and colleagues
Apply strong attention to detail to perform excellent legal research and analytics
Use your problem-solving capabilities to work independently and proactively on cases
Prepare pleadings, motions, and written and expert discovery
Engage in mediation and dispute resolution
Take and defend depositions and written discovery
Utilize your civil litigation experience
Draft motions and argue them in court
Defend depositions and respond to discovery requests

Requirements:

Civil Litigation Experience
Knowledge and experience in Construction Defect
Proven skill in Mediation
Experience in Preparing Pleadings
Ability to Draft Motions
Experience in Arguing Motions
Familiarity with the process of Discovery Responses
Proven ability in Defending Depositions
Must be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit a high level of professional integrity
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
Must possess a high level of attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Must have a proactive approach to work, demonstrating initiative and drive
