Job Description:

The ideal candidate is a motivated and experienced Litigator with 5+ years of experience, preferably from an insurance defense firm background. The Associate will independently manage a docket of cases, conduct depositions, attend court proceedings, and maintain direct communication with clients. The role involves both defense work and plaintiffs work, offering a unique opportunity to grow expertise across complex personal injury defense and high-stakes litigation matters.

Job Responsibility:

Handle all aspects of case management, including drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery
Take and defend depositions
Represent clients in court, including hearings and trials
Report directly to clients with updates, strategy discussions, and case evaluations
Strategically manage a caseload
Collaborate with other attorneys on high-profile and complex cases
Conduct legal research and develop case strategies

Requirements:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Admission to the Illinois Bar
Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, ideally in insurance defense work
Proven ability to independently handle a diverse caseload
Strong deposition, motion, and court experience
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proactive, self-starter mindset with excellent case-management skills
Ability to work collaboratively with the team and manage dynamic priorities effectively
