Job Description:

Robert Half is looking for a dedicated Litigation Attorney/Lawyer to join our client in Irvine, California. The role involves managing and driving successful outcomes in defense-oriented civil litigation cases. The workplace is fast-paced, dynamic and requires meticulous preparation of cases with a focus on client satisfaction. This is a contract to hire opportunity.

Job Responsibility:

Handle all aspects of civil litigation defense, including strategic development of cases and ensuring that cases progress in a timely manner
Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and other case-related filings, maintaining accuracy, clarity, and legal relevance
Oversee the discovery process, from drafting and responding to discovery requests to depositions and other evidence-gathering procedures for case strategy development
Draft and argue substantive and procedural motions, ensuring compliance with court deadlines and requirements
Prepare cases behind-the-scenes, conducting legal research, assembling relevant evidence, and developing strategy to ensure readiness for trial or resolution
Advocate for clients by providing regular updates on case progression, legal options, and strategy recommendations, maintaining a focus on client satisfaction

Requirements:

Possession of a valid license to practice law
Bad faith litigation experience
Excellent briefing skills and ability to handle complex legal issues
Experience in Defense Civil Litigation
Proven track record in effective Claim Administration
Proficiency in Complaint Handling and resolving customer issues
Excellent Drafting skills, able to create clear and concise legal documents
Experience in Discovery process, able to effectively find and exchange information in legal proceedings
