Job Description:

Thriving defense firm in DTLA is seeking a dynamic litigation attorney to join their growing team. The ideal litigation attorney candidate will be primarily focusing on Labor & Employment and Surety Litigation. This role is a critical role providing legal advice, conducting legal research, and representing our clients in court. The litigation attorney will also be responsible for handling cases from inception through trial, including depositions, discovery, motions, and trial prep.

Job Responsibility:

Provide legal advice on labor & employment issues and civil litigation matters
Handle a volume of cases from inception through trial
Conduct depositions, discovery, and trial preparations
Represent clients in court and make regular court appearances
Develop strategies for handling cases and legal issues
Mentor and provide training to junior staff members
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
Use skills in briefing, civil litigation, claim administration, complaint handling, and consumer electronics to provide the best legal services to our clients
Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal secretaries for case management
Work closely with insurance carriers on case details and updates

Requirements:

Must hold a professional law degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Must possess a minimum of 2 years of professional experience as an Attorney or Lawyer
Must have a valid license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
Proven experience in Briefing, Civil Litigation, Claim Administration, Complaint Handling, and Consumer Electronics
Experience as a Litigation Attorney is essential
Previous exposure to Civil Litigation is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex legal issues
Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Must demonstrate high ethical standards and professionalism in all aspects of job performance
Must be licensed in CA
