Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a REMOTE Litigation Attorney to manage cases related to maritime law disputes, from contract disputes to slip & falls to international regulatory disputes. This Litigation Attorney role will involve law & motion, trial preparation, discovery, and MSJ work. You will also be responsible for removals from state to federal court and venue challenges.

Job Responsibility:

Handling litigation cases related to maritime law disputes
Conducting depositions
Working on law & motion, trial preparation, and briefs
Undertaking removals from state to federal court
Challenging venues to ensure cases fall within federal jurisdiction
Managing discovery requests and responses

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Attorney in maritime law, environmental law, or insurance defense
Capable of effectively arguing motions in court proceedings
Proven competence in drafting motions, briefs, and other pleadings
Adept at handling the discovery processes
Experience in trial preparation
Knowledge of Federal Court procedures and protocols
CA bar license

Nice to have:

Preference for candidates living in Southern California
Prior maritime law experience
