Job Description:

Robert Half is seeking a highly experienced Litigation Paralegal to join an established Los Angeles-based firm specializing in complex civil litigation matters. The role involves supporting cases from inception through trial, handling PRA requests, legal research, and trial preparation within an onsite work setting.

Job Responsibility:

Handle and review PRA requests and documentation
draft discovery responses and assist with pre-trial and trial preparation
review and summarize plaintiff document production (claims, complaints, answers, discovery pleadings)
prepare medical chronologies, billing summaries, and review medical records
summarize corporate financial records and deposition transcripts
conduct thorough legal research, including property ownership, municipal codes, settlements, and precedents
coordinate scheduling of depositions and issue related notices and subpoenas
collect and retrieve litigation documents (medical records, employment records, public records, etc.)
organize trial preparation documents, including jury instructions, trial exhibit lists, and witness lists
utilize software tools like LexisNexis, Westlaw, Adobe, Kofax, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and MS Word.

Requirements:

Minimum 5+ years of civil litigation experience, with PRA expertise preferred
Bachelor's degree strongly desired
paralegal certificate required
background in insurance defense, labor & employment, or municipal law is highly beneficial
proven ability to assist with complex cases through trial and conduct legal research across diverse areas of law.
