Job Description:

London, Greater London. Competitive salary - £43,000 - £47,000. Monday to Friday working pattern (08:00 - 17:00). Opportunity to work at one of Central London's most prestigious trophy commercial buildings, supported by a top-class FM team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems throughout the building
  • Carry out electrical fault-finding, testing, and inspection on systems including lighting, fire alarms, emergency lighting, and power distribution boards
  • Perform routine testing, including electrical inspection and condition reports (EICR) in line with current regulations
  • Repair or replace electrical components and wiring, ensuring full compliance with relevant standards
  • Ensure compliance with 18th Edition wiring regulations (BS 7671) and health & safety protocols
  • Conduct regular site inspections, record findings, and complete relevant compliance paperwork accurately
  • Support the wider engineering team and collaborate on wider building services tasks when required
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Identify and suggest opportunities for energy savings and system improvements

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installations (City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
  • Proven experience working as a Maintenance Electrician within commercial building environments
  • Strong experience in fault finding, testing, inspection, and electrical maintenance
  • Experience maintaining and repairing lighting systems, alarms, power distribution boards, emergency lighting, and control panels
  • Sound understanding of health & safety procedures, compliance regulations, and safe working practices
  • Good communication skills and professional, client-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and as part of a team
