Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a busy distribution centre in Dartford. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your technical expertise will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our conveyor systems.

Job Responsibility:

Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on conveyor systems and associated equipment
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime
Performing routine inspections and ensuring equipment is operating safely and efficiently
Collaborating with the operations team to identify and implement improvements to processes and systems
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs

Requirements:

Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role, ideally within a distribution, manufacturing, or similar environment
Strong mechanical skills with experience working on conveyor systems
Basic electrical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards
Relevant qualifications in engineering (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) are desirable
A strong focus on health and safety practices
