Job Description:

The Manager, Data Science role at T-Mobile involves managing data science initiatives, leading a team of data scientists, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve business problems. The position requires strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and expertise in data science techniques and tools.

Job Responsibility:

Lead the development of major data science initiatives from problem framing to deployment and performance measurement
Hire, develop, manage, and retain a team of data scientists
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve business problems using data science techniques
Continuously improve data science operations to optimize efficiency and create scalable solutions.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree required in Math, Statistics, Econometrics, Data Science, Analytics, Operations Research, Behavioral Science, or another analytical/quantitative field
Master’s Degree preferred in similar fields
4+ years of experience in implementing data science-driven solutions
2+ years of management experience or leading/coaching a data science team
4+ years of experience with data querying, wrangling, cleaning, and feature engineering
4+ years of experience with Python, Databricks, R, and other predictive modeling tools
4+ years of experience working with relational databases using SQL
4+ years of experience building and deploying data mining, visualization, statistical models, AI, and machine learning solutions
Mathematics: Calculus, linear algebra, statistics, and probability
Programming expertise in Python and SQL
Expertise in machine learning concepts and techniques related to supervised and unsupervised learning
Ability to work with cross-functional teams to define business problems by recognizing relevant facts
Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Strong organization and project management skills.

Nice to have:

Master’s Degree in Math, Statistics, Econometrics, Data Science, Analytics, Operations Research, Behavioral Science, or another analytical/quantitative field
2-4 years of experience in the telecom industry.
