Job Description:

As an Marine Underwriter in this position, you will be reporting into the Marine Manager and work closely to achieve the set target and maintaining the existing business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the existing business and involved in helping to achieve and grow the overall target set by the organisation.

Job Responsibility:

Review, accept and underwrite business within Risk Acceptance Authority and guidelines including claim matters, recommendations on wordings and liaison with internal stakeholders
Manage the existing business and involved in helping to achieve and grow the overall target set by the organisation

Requirements:

General insurance certifications, ACII or FCII qualified
3+ years experience as an Underwriter in the marine space
Candidates with experience handling Marine Cargo, Hull, Machinery and Liabilities are welcome to apply
Strong business acumen, good understanding of marine business and passionate about maritime
Strong relationship with intermediaries and brokers
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
