The Material Planner Internship role involves supporting the team with reporting and data processing, performing supporting activities, interpreting data from various systems, exploring opportunities for systems and processes enhancement, identifying opportunities for process improvement and developing recommendations, executing demand and supply matching activities, gathering demand/consumption data, coordinating regional and global business teams, reviewing performance metrics, contributing to priority projects, communicating requirements and guidelines, providing independent judgment to P&L and Balance sheet problems, and engaging with WW teams on inventory movements.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting the team with reporting and data processing related activities
Performing supporting activities of specified process owners
Involved in daily/weekly reporting functions, which involve interpreting data from various systems and summarizing it to enable further actions
Exploring and proposing opportunities for systems and processes enhancement
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and developing recommendations to reduce inventory and inventory driven costs
Executing the demand and supply matching activities, connecting planning to execution, and identifying issues and their impact
Gathering demand/consumption data from country, region to synthesize information using complex analyses, and delivering business balance sheet forecasts to the global inventory management team/finance
Coordinating or leading regional and global business teams to maintain and enhance the current business processes
Reviewing performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement
Contributing to priority projects with complex analyses and assisting in developing recommendations
Communicating requirements and guidelines to the regional and global teams on a weekly/monthly basis
Providing independent judgment to P&L and Balance sheet problems, leading change to support the direction and goals established for the region
Engaged with WW teams on inventory movements, initiatives and plans to increase efficiency and to optimize days of supply held in the network
Requirements:
Currently studying Industrial Engineering
Have knowledge in supply chain main concepts such as demand, material planning, order management, logistics
Have demonstrated analytical skills
Have good interpersonal and communication skills
Team player with proactive approach
Have advanced MS Office skills (Excel (pivot tables mandatory), PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
SQL knowledge
Fluent in English
Willing to learn and develop skills for further professional growth in Supply Chain
