Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Maths & ICT Teacher to join a SEN school in Cambridge. This temporary role covers the Summer Term with the potential for a permanent position starting in September. Responsibilities include teaching KS3 ICT and Maths, pastoral support for students, collaboration with Teaching Assistants, and interdisciplinary lessons such as food technology and humanities.

Job Responsibility:

deliver KS3 ICT sessions
teach KS3 Maths lessons
lead Year 6 primary class sessions
provide pastoral support as a Year 8 link teacher
collaborate with Teaching Assistants
deliver food technology and humanities lessons
conduct 1:1 Maths interventions
collaborate with KS2 Maths lead
work closely with Maths department

Requirements:

qualified teacher with QTS
passionate about Maths and ICT
ability to track progression in attainment
background in youth work
behaviour management
classroom management
communication
de-escalation techniques
empathy
experience in administering medication
experience in managing challenging behaviour
experience with autism spectrum disorders
experience with learning difficulties
experience with social emotional mental health
inclusiveness
manual handling
marking
personal care experience
planning
resilience
restraint training
speech and language therapy experience

Nice to have:

experience with food technology
humanities topics
mentor experience
