Job Description:

We are looking for a Qualified Media and IT Teacher to join a well-regarded SEN School in Peterborough on a permanent, part-time basis. This role is 3 days per week, term-time only, offering a fantastic opportunity to work with a diverse group of students in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver engaging and tailored lessons in Media and IT to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Develop and implement creative projects that cater to individual learning styles and abilities
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere where students are encouraged to express themselves
Manage classroom behaviour effectively and ensure students' well-being and progress
Collaborate with staff to create individualised learning plans that support student growth and development
Maintain attendance records and comply with school policies
Promote links with local industry to prepare students for adult life and careers
Attend department meetings, contribute to curriculum development, and create subject materials
Serve as a form tutor, providing pastoral care and maintaining student well-being.

Requirements:

Strong subject knowledge, classroom management, and ability to motivate students of all abilities
Effective communication, organisational, and time-management skills
Willing to submit an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check (DBS)
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant qualification/experience
Complete Child Protection Training
Promote and safeguard the welfare of all children and young persons they are responsible for, or come into contact with.
