Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Medical Billing Specialist in Memphis, Tennessee. In this role, you will be utilizing your knowledge of ICD-10 Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting to ensure accurate medical billing, review medical records, and handle patient information. You will also be responsible for communicating via various channels and maintaining clear, concise notes in the billing system.

Job Responsibility:

Analyze patient information and medical records for accurate coding and billing
Utilize knowledge in ICD-10 Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting
Handle requests related to medical records efficiently
Maintain communication via phone, fax, written communications, and in person
Enter clear and concise notes into the billing system detailing all activities performed on patient accounts
Collaborate with providers and other departments to verify correct diagnosis, date of service, and procedural codes
Prepare and print statements and CMS-1500 claim forms
Scan and email patient's bills and records after final review of chart
Enter charges on a daily basis
Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills for efficient workflow
Exhibit strong attention to detail and work ethic
Assist in other areas of the billing department when necessary
Ensure reliable transportation for punctuality

Requirements:

Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
Experience with ADP - Financial Services
Skilled in Computerized Billing
Familiarity with EHR SYSTEM
Expertise in Epic Software
Knowledge of About Time software
Ability to perform Accounting Functions
Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
Capability to handle Answering Inbound Calls
Knowledge of ICD-10 coding system
Familiarity with CMS 1500 form completion and submission
