Job Description:

Manage all aspects of medical accounts receivable collections for a medical group. Follow up on claim denials, resolve billing issues, and address inquiries from patients and clinic staff. Use effective collection strategies to ensure accounts receivable remain up-to-date and monitor for any delayed payments.

Job Responsibility:

Supervise the processing and follow-up of insurance billings to ensure prompt receipt of payments
Interact professionally with patients and insurance companies regarding financial matters and actively work to recover unpaid balances
Swiftly respond to and resolve patient billing inquiries, initiating adjustment requests when necessary to rectify discrepancies
Proactively follow up on all zero payment explanations of benefits and explore all potential options to secure claim payments
Conduct monthly evaluations of assigned accounts, identify inconsistencies, and correct errors to ensure accuracy
Provide comprehensive support for inquiries related to accounts, offering assistance and guidance to stakeholders
Conduct detailed research on billing issues and engage with all relevant parties to reach a resolution
Initiate payer and/or patient refund requests for overpayments after conducting necessary research to confirm refund eligibility
Initiate debt write-off requests in line with established policies and procedures, adhering to regulatory guidelines

Requirements:

Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
Knowledge of Billing Functions
Ability to handle Claim Administration tasks
Familiarity with Collection Processes
Expertise in Medical Billing
High speed and accuracy in Data Entry
Competency in managing Spreadsheets
Proficiency in Invoice Reconciliation
