Job Description:

We are in search of a Medical Collections Specialist to join our team in GLEN BURNIE, Maryland. This position is situated within the Healthcare and Social Assistance industry, specializing in third party medical insurance collections. The role involves handling customer queries, processing applications, and maintaining precise customer records. The opportunity is a long term contract employment.

Job Responsibility:

Execute medical insurance collections with precision
Manage customer credit applications efficiently
Maintain and update customer credit records accurately
Engage in calling and following up with insurance companies for collections
Communicate with patients to obtain any missing information as required
Utilize the Advanced MD accounting system for various tasks
Perform tasks related to Accounts Receivable
Actively participate in billing and collection processes
Have a strong understanding of the Healthcare Revenue Cycle

Requirements:

Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
Experience with Allscripts and Cerner Technologies
Familiarity with Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)
Competence in using EHR SYSTEM
Demonstrable knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Adept at handling Appeals and Authorizations
Strong understanding of Benefit and Billing Functions
Experience in Billing Collection
Proven track record in Cash Collections
Ability to Collect Outstanding payments effectively
Experience with Collection Processes in the healthcare sector
Understanding of the HealthCare Industry
Knowledge of HealthCare Insurance procedures and policies
Familiarity with HealthCare Reimbursement
Experience with the HealthCare Revenue Cycle
