Job Description:

Our client is a growing law firm that is currently seeking a highly skilled Medical Malpractice Attorney to join the firm's team. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in cases in medical negligence, with a focus on surgical and ER negligence, diagnosis delays, and birth trauma. A strong track record in dealing with complex medical and legal matters is essential, along with an unwavering commitment to securing justice and compensation for the firm's clients.

Job Responsibility:

Thoroughly investigate potential medical malpractice cases to determine whether a viable claim exists
Conduct extensive research and collaborate with medical experts to establish proof of medical negligence
Prepare and draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, etc.
Advise clients on their rights and possible outcomes, helping them make informed decisions
Negotiate with the opposition to reach fair settlement agreements when possible
Keep current with the latest legal and industry trends in medical malpractice law
Coordinate with paralegals and legal assistants in preparing for trials or hearings

Requirements:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
Admission to the State Bar
2+ years of experience as a Medical Malpractice Attorney, specifically in cases involving surgical and ER negligence, diagnosis delays, and birth trauma
Exceptional negotiation, research and courtroom advocacy skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
Proficient in using legal research software and platforms
Empathetic approach to client representation
