Job Description:

Robert Half is seeking a Member Service Representative to assist our client, a local credit union. This role is at the intersection of a Teller and a Banker, providing a critical touchpoint for credit union members. This contract to permanent opportunity is based in Portland, OR. Previous experience in the banking industry is desired.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure a detail oriented and inviting interaction with members
Efficiently process transactions while maintaining accuracy
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments
Assist in the opening of new accounts
Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain open communication with management
Complete additional tasks assigned by management in a timely manner
Ensure accurate and complete member data entry and record keeping
Handle cash transactions, including check cashing, with precision and ensure balance at the end of each shift
Process additional member transactions such as cashiers check, money orders, wires, Debit Card replacements, etc.
Maintain security of keys, passwords, and member Personal Identifiable Information (PPI)
File monetary reports consistent with banking regulations and ensure timely scanning and filing of member documents

Requirements:

Proven experience or demonstrated ability in Customer Service
Proficiency in Data Entry tasks, with attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge and understanding of Personal Banking procedures and products
Familiarity with Online Banking platforms and their functionalities
Experience in handling Bank Transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers required
