The Meritain Senior Sales Executive is responsible for driving profitable membership growth in the self-funded market, working with local Aetna teams and external brokers to promote Meritain’s customized benefits solutions. The role includes strategic planning, building relationships with brokers and clients, and positioning Meritain's products in the market.
Job Responsibility:
Drive profitable membership growth in the self-funded market
develop strategy, distribution, and collaboration with local market Aetna teams to target clients
lead all Meritain sales efforts to solve complex benefit challenges using customized self-funded solutions
work through the external broker community to promote and develop the Meritain brand
establish local market partnerships with Aetna sales teams and leaders
assist with strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting process
cultivate strong relationships with producers, plan sponsors, and/or consumers
develop and communicate expertise on products, industry, and emerging marketplace trends.
Requirements:
8+ years of relevant healthcare sales experience
experience cultivating strong, productive and influential relationships with brokers/consultants, customers, and peers focusing on the larger or more complex accounts/prospects
management of complex negotiations
prior experience positioning products, rate levels, and expanded product portfolios to increase sales and maximize revenue
proven expertise in difficult renewals
experience identifying various ways to partner with the client by drawing from entire spectrum of product line
health & Life license to sell products.
