Job Description:

Middle School Biology Teacher role for a school located in Shenzhen, China teaching topics like the scientific process, cells, microbiology, heredity, physiology, classification, and ecology with student-guided lab experiences. Includes fostering student relationships, collaboration, and participation in professional growth.

Job Responsibility:

Foster meaningful relationships with each student to ensure a personalized and successful learning trajectory
Guide students in pursuing academic achievement, personal responsibility, and intellect
Pursue continuous professional growth by participating in ongoing professional development, collaborating with colleagues, and staying informed on the latest educational techniques and best practices in your field
Contribute to a positive and collaborative school community.

Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience
Bachelor's degree in your subject area (Elementary and Early Education degrees are also highly valued for Pre-K through Grade 5)
Previous experience within an EAL setting
Demonstrate strong communication skills in teaching ideas, texts, and concepts with precision and confidence
Open to new ideas in teaching
Knowledgeable, passionate, and believe in transforming education
Able to motivate students to reach their highest potential, while also elevating own skills through peer collaboration and a culture where learning is of the greatest importance
Flexibility is important as well as strong relationship building skills and an ability to build a strong school community.
