Job Description:

My client has an exciting position available in Edinburgh for a skilled individual to join their team. You will be responsible for providing electrical maintenance services, ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems of the facilities.

Job Responsibility:

Carrying out reactive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring minimal downtime across a range of sites, primarily schools and office blocks
Conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to keep things running smoothly
Handling minor general maintenance tasks as needed, showcasing your versatile skills
Respond promptly to breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance tasks
Undertake minor installation tasks, including minor projects related to power supply, lighting, power distribution, motors and pumps etc
Competent on BMS control systems and PAT tester /EICR
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults, ensuring timely repairs
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report findings
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
Ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of the Project Agreement
Undertake maintenance duties in such a manner as to support the objectives of the client and with respect for the dignity and privacy of the resident group

Requirements:

Proven experience as a qualified Electrician, with a strong background in maintenance
17th/18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations knowledge is essential
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
Proven experience in electrical maintenance and repair in a commercial setting
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A valid UK driver's license is essential, as this role involves travel between sites
DBS Check before starting on the job

Standard Hours: 40 hours, Monday to Friday flexible schedule
