Job Description:

Model Risk Management plays crucial role in ensuring the quality, accuracy and compliance of the models that drive our business decisions. Your analytical skillset and industry knowledge will allow you to perform in-depth assessments, provide insights and identify the area for improvement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, gaining the exposure the experience on different types of models, being exposed to different finance and risk aspects, which are so important in banking. Qualitative models use a combination of business judgment with simple math, therefore statistical skills are not a must for this role! Qualitative models we validate are primarily used for financial planning, stress testing and assessment of tail risk-high impact event (e.g., resolution).

Job Responsibility:

Review model inputs, assumptions, algorithm, performance and implementation and perform incremental testing
Collaborate with model owners and developers, discussing model observations and findings required compensating controls
Write documentation from model reviews and enhance model testing framework
Monitor execution of remediation actions as part of compensating controls
Communicate validation findings and improvements clearly to stakeholders across the organization

Requirements:

Financial background and willingness to learn
Some experience with financial risk, banking products or simple statistical analysis
Ability to drill down model components to confirm root cause of model issues
Interest in “what-if” scenarios and possible risk factors
Strong persuasion and clear writing skills
