Job Description:

Our client, a leader in technology infrastructure and systems integration, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their team in Madison, WI. This is a long-term, hybrid onsite role offering a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team in supporting cutting-edge network infrastructure.

Job Responsibility:

Design, implement, and maintain network solutions
Troubleshoot complex network issues across LAN/WAN, firewalls, and other relevant technologies
Perform capacity planning and contribute to scaling network operations
Support and maintain Cisco network technologies
Configure and optimize VPNs, firewalls, and security solutions
Maintain system documentation, network diagrams, and procedures
Coordinate with vendors and providers for external infrastructure support
Lead network performance analysis and develop improvement initiatives

Requirements:

10+ years of network engineering experience in enterprise environments
Expertise in network architecture and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)
Strong proficiency in Cisco networking equipment (certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE are a plus)
Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network monitoring tools
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP protocols
Ability to perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis in complex network environments
Knowledge of network virtualization technologies and cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a bonus
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
