Job Description:

As Senior Healthcare Assistant, you’ll play a key role in leading the care team, ensuring residents receive the highest standard of care, and creating a warm, supportive environment. Responsibilities include leading team shifts, assisting residents in daily activities, medication management, effective communication with stakeholders, fostering team collaboration, responding to emergencies, updating care plans, and focusing on professional development.

Job Responsibility:

lead and coordinate team shifts
assist residents with dressing, bathing, toileting, and mobility
oversee ordering, administration, and documentation of medication
engage with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members
foster team collaboration and a supportive work environment
welcome visitors and show facilities
respond to emergency call bells
write and update care plans, risk assessments, and case notes
participate in training, meetings, and e-learning
adhere to Health and Safety policies and escalate concerns

Requirements:

SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
practical Medication Administration with competencies
ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
kind, caring, and compassionate personality
commitment to person-centred care
experience actively working towards Level 3 (if applicable)
