Job Description:

Provide holistic and high-quality clinical care at MinuteClinic, offering a wide range of medical treatments, counseling, and health support services.

Job Responsibility:

  • Acts as a top-level specialist on the treatment of common illnesses such as colds, flu, sinus infections, strep throat, urinary tract infections, minor burns, and sprains
  • Adapts the marketing strategy to target specific demographics that may not be aware of minute clinic services
  • Advises the MC night team on preventive care services and health screenings to promote wellness at a convenient and affordable cost
  • Applies highly developed knowledge of clinical services to prescribe antibiotics, antifungals, allergy medications, topical creams, and/or contraceptives depending upon the patient condition
  • Authorizes the distribution of health care materials for self-care techniques, medication instructions, and lifestyle changes
  • Benchmarks the clinical strategy against the competition and adapts the business strategy to include more service offerings
  • Coaches MC associates on how to answer questions that are most commonly asked by patients
  • Consults with physicians and nurses on complex medical conditions that require specialized attention outside of the clinical network
  • Coordinates basic point-of-care testing, glucose monitoring, and/or pregnancy testing
  • Provide Primary and Family evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for our patients
  • Provide administrative duties to include but not limited to opening/closing the clinic, inventory, patient follow up, verifying insurance and collecting payment, maintaining a clean environment
  • Be responsible for handling patient appointments and performing routing examinations to ensure positive patient health outcomes
  • Perform duties including speaking with patients about healthy lifestyle choices, completing diagnostic tests to help diagnose and treat patients for injuries or illnesses and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to maintain a comprehensive plan of care
  • Encourage patients to become active participants in their own healthcare and well-being through services such as health screenings, behavioral health and wellness, chronic condition management.

Requirements:

  • Less than 5 years work experience
  • Mastery of problem solving and decision making skills
  • Mastery of collaboration and teamwork
  • Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
  • Mastery of execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
  • Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate option
  • Ability to function in clinical setting with diverse cultural dynamics of clinical staff and patients
  • Mastery knowledge of phases of care transitions and resources available for patients
  • Mastery of digital literacy skills
  • Nurse Practitioner License in good standing with no restrictions required
  • Provide holistic, evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for patients
  • Minimum of two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent
  • Complete the DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment
  • Depending on the market, the ability to be proficient in both speaking and writing in additional languages not limited to but including Spanish
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including but not limited to performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Pass a FIT test and wear the provided respirator mask when protocol requires.
