Job Description:

The Operational Risk Sr Group Manager manages multiple teams through other managers. Requires in-depth understanding of the industry, strategic direction, and excellent communication skills. Responsible for executing functional strategy, budgeting, planning, and policy formulation. Full management responsibility for multiple teams, including performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, and disciplinary actions.

Job Responsibility:

Establishes and oversees the application of operational risk policies, technology and tools, and governance processes
Independently assesses risks and drives actions to address root causes
Facilitates accurate reporting of operational risks to senior management and the Board of Directors
Promotes the use of risk indicators
Supports corporate initiatives related to Operational Risk
Drives the strategic direction of Operational Risk Management
Identifies emerging operational risks
Analyzes operational risk data
Investigates causes for metrics deviating from trends
Identifies root causes of major internal losses
Upholds the Operational Risk Policy
Provides Operational Risk oversight
Interfaces with Regulators on Operational Risk matters

Requirements:

15+ years relevant experience
Experienced in Operational Risk
Knowledge of other risk disciplines (market risk, credit risk) a plus
Demonstrated analytical ability
Proficient in developing new ideas to mitigate risk and improve current processes
Advanced Leadership skills
Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred and managerial experience
English advanced (must)
