Join our global TUI Intercruises Operations & Port Delivery Team in Amsterdam as an Operations and Port Delivery Agent where you will be responsible for delivering smooth Port Operations of all services related to cruise tourism. Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services is a specialist business providing cruise and river ship handling services to cruise and river lines in destinations throughout the world. You will be assisting cruise and river lines in the provision of their daily operations.
Job Responsibility:
Plan, manage, and successfully execute large-scale operations
shore excursions, embarkation and disembarkation services, pre and post extension services, hotel services and airport services, amongst others
Approach operations with a structured detailed waterfall project management framework to be able to execute within set timelines
Maintain continuous communication with cruise and river line head offices, ships, Port Authorities, vendors, staff and guides as well as any other internal and external stakeholders for efficient operation management
Efficiently manage and track operational information, accounting tasks, and settlements, including problem-solving invoices, for accurate reporting and invoicing
Thinking continuously out of the box to improve processes and product to be more efficient and effective
Early adopter of new software applications and has experience with implementation of software
Be available for early starts and weekend work at the port, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to operational demands
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Supply Chain and Logistics, Business Management or any related field
Ideally have experience in the Cruise and/or Tour Operations business
Flexible working times in shift patterns (Monday-Sunday) for successful 24/7 cruise and river operation during the high season (March – October)
Experienced and confident working within a diverse team, with a keen drive to deliver excellent results
Confident with Microsoft Office programs, in particular, intermediate Excel (can do basic functions, formulas, pivot tables)
A problem-solver who likes to suggests and implement improvements in our ways of working towards a more digital culture
A self-starter who collaborates well and supports team goals
Agility to adapt to various strategic priorities/projects whilst delivering day-to-day operational logistics
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English
Conversational Dutch, Italian or Spanish is an advantage (but not compulsory)
Full manual (shift stick) driver’s license is required for this role
