Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager in the construction industry in the Baltimore area. As an Operations Manager, you will be at the forefront of leading our operations team, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity, as well as fostering excellent communication and collaboration within the team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the operations team to ensure the safe and quality performance of work
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships, as well as new business opportunities
  • Assist with the preparation of bids for new projects and manage key projects including scope, schedule, billing, and change management
  • Coordinate the scheduling of manpower, equipment, and other resources, and develop resource forecasts for future needs
  • Oversee the care and maintenance of company equipment and tools according to proven standards
  • Identify hiring needs and guide the team through the hiring process
  • Enforce company safety rules and perform safety audits on crews
  • Coordinate the labor and skills of employees & equipment according to job needs
  • Uphold and promote a positive company image to customers and employees
  • Handle additional duties as directed or required

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Proficiency in billing and data entry tasks
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably within the construction sector
  • Comprehensive understanding of the construction process, from conception to completion
  • Experience in preparing and presenting bid proposals
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
