Job Description:

The Database Administrator (DBA) at Allianz Technology Malaysia, Regional Delivery Center (RDC) is responsible for the effective design, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of database systems for Allianz OEs within the Asia Pacific Region, primarily Oracle databases and other database technologies such as but not limited to IBM DB2, MSSQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL databases. The role requires primarily Oracle database and broad knowledge of other database technologies with ability to manage diverse database environments particularly cloud-based solutions to ensure their performance, availability, security and scalability.

Requirements:

Design and implement database structures
Install and configure database management systems (DBMS)
Monitor database performance across various platforms
Implement and maintain database security measures
Develop, implement, and manage backup and recovery strategies
Diagnose and resolve database-related issues
Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations
Work closely with application developers, system administrators, and other IT staff
Identify opportunities to improve database performance
Deploy, manage, and monitor cloud-based infrastructure
Develop and implement automation scripts and tools
Work with global teams to manage and deliver globally managed services
