Job Responsibility:

Drafting various legal documents to support the day-to-day operations of the practice
Conducting thorough legal research to aid in case preparation and client advisement
Communicating effectively with clients to update them on case progress and answer inquiries
Collaborating with other team members to ensure efficient completion of administrative tasks
Appearing in court to represent clients and present cases, as needed
Utilizing computer software applications for legal research and document drafting, such as Word and Excel
Checking and shepherding case citations to ensure accuracy
Managing cases effectively to ensure all relevant information is organized and accessible
Preparing pleadings to be filed in court
Handling discovery requests and responses in a timely and thorough manner

Requirements:

MUST have circuit court litigation experience
MUST have experience drafting pleadings, legal documents, and legal correspondence
MUST have experience utilizing Lexis and West Law for legal research, including shepardizing case law
Experience with Findlaw, MyCase is a plus
Experience with supporting attorneys handling small business legal matters, such as formation is a plus
Candidates with combined experience of personal injury and other civil litigation are highly encouraged to apply
