Job Description:

As a Paralegal, your key role will be to handle customer applications, maintain accurate records, and resolve any customer inquiries. Moreover, you will be tasked with supervising customer accounts and initiating suitable action when necessary.

Job Responsibility:

  • Efficiently process credit applications from customers
  • Keep customer credit records updated and accurate
  • Manage the document production processes and procedures

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in the use of document review databases and platforms
  • Conduct Westlaw research as required
  • Multitask and prioritize assignments effectively
  • Maintain strong organization skills and a detail-oriented approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point
  • Knowledge of electronic filing in state, federal, and administrative courts
  • Familiarity with Bluebook citation
  • Utilize Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), and CompuLaw software as necessary
  • Perform billing functions, briefing, calendar management, and claim administration
  • Communication and civil litigation skills are imperative
  • Proficiency in Aderant, a leading legal software for comprehensive business management
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Acrobat for document management and editing
  • Familiarity with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) for efficient record handling
  • Proficient in using case management software to organize and manage legal cases
  • Experience with CompuLaw for effective calendar management and risk mitigation
  • Ability to carry out billing functions accurately and efficiently
  • Experience in briefing teams and clients on case updates and legal procedures
  • Excellent calendar management skills to schedule appointments, court dates, and deadlines
  • Ability to administer claims effectively, ensuring all necessary documentation and processes are completed
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with clients, lawyers, and court personnel
  • Experience in civil litigation, including preparing and filing legal documents, conducting research, and assisting lawyers in court
