Job Description:

Established California firm is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team in Oakland, California. In this role, you will be primarily supporting with labor and employment matters.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee case management from inception through and post-trial or settlement
Draft, review, and revise legal documents as necessary
Maintain and update case files, charts, and indices
Manage and support witness summaries and document productions
Assist with deposition and hearing preparation, including identifying and gathering exhibit documents and creating witness outlines
Cite-check briefs, ensuring both legal and factual citations are accurate
Assist with document review and coordinate with the Litigation Support Group for back-end database management
Utilize case management software to maintain accurate customer credit records
Utilize legal research skills to support the Labor and Employment Group
Utilize Adobe Acrobat for document management and eDiscovery tools for electronic data management
Be responsible for maintaining a reliable and punctual schedule

Requirements:

Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat
Experience with Case Management Software
Understanding of Billing Functions within a legal context
Ability to conduct Briefing sessions effectively
Proficiency in Calendar Management
Familiarity with Ediscovery process and tools
Knowledge of Employment Law
Understanding of Municipal Laws
Strong Legal Research skills
