Job Description:

As a Part-Time Property Accountant, you will play a critical role in handling the financial responsibilities for our property portfolio. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and expertise in managing accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), reconciliations, and generating financial reports. Knowledge of Yardi software is essential due to the integration of operations and accounting processes in property management.

Job Responsibility:

Manage Accounts Payable (AP): Process invoices, vendor statements, and payments, ensuring timely disbursement and accurate documentation
Handle Accounts Receivable (AR): Track rent payments and other incoming revenue, follow up on late payments, and reconcile tenant accounts
Perform bank reconciliations, tenant ledger reconciliations, and other account reconciliations monthly
Generate financial reports, including monthly variance reports, income statements, and balance sheets, for management review
Utilize Yardi to maintain property-level accounting records, input transactions, and track budgets

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
Proven experience in property accounting, ideally within the real estate, construction, or property management industries
Proficiency in Yardi software is required
experience with other ERP systems is a plus
Solid understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes
Ability to work independently, remain organized, and meet deadlines in a part-time work schedule
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
