Job Description:

An exciting position focused on Patent Docketing! This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a dynamic team in an environment that values precision and professionalism.

Job Responsibility:

Operate docketing system, accurately creating and maintaining records for domestic and international patents
Verify the accuracy and completeness of all docketed deadlines and actions, ensuring timely updates and compliance
Process and update systems based on communications received from the USPTO, clients, attorneys, foreign associates, and annuity service providers
Provide timely updates on docketing changes to relevant stakeholders in line with company policies
Collaborate with legal teams to ensure all patent-related deadlines are met without exceptions
Perform thorough quality reviews of docketing data to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors
Manage vendor instructions related to annuity payments and international patent deadlines to ensure timely processing
Stay informed on changes to patent laws, rules, and procedures that impact docketing processes
Generate detailed reports using PATTSY WAVE and Global IP Estimator to support operational needs and decision-making

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Adobe
College degree or business school training is desirable
Prior experience with patent preparation, prosecution, and/or IP docketing is a plus
Familiarity with the PATTSY WAVE docketing system is preferred
Knowledge of PCT Safe, ePCT, and Global IP Estimator is advantageous
Previous experience in a law firm and with patent docketing is preferred

Nice to have:

College degree or business school training is desirable
