Job Description:

Robert Half is searching for a detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to join a one of our client's dynamic organization. If you're a skilled finance professional looking to make an impact in a growing business while ensuring smooth payroll operations, this could be your next career opportunity!

Job Responsibility:

Process payroll for employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Review payroll data for accuracy, including wages, deductions, and benefits
Prepare and reconcile payroll journal entries and assist in month-end close processes
Ensure compliance with tax laws by preparing and submitting payroll taxes timely
Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees, addressing discrepancies and resolving issues
Collaborate with HR to maintain accurate employee records, including earnings and deductions
Prepare and analyze payroll reports for management and auditors
Stay updated on payroll regulations and implement changes as required

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years experience in payroll or general accounting roles
Proficient with payroll software systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday)
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups
Strong understanding of multi-state payroll laws and tax regulations
Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
