Job Description:

We are seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our team in Portage, MI. Responsibilities include processing weekly payroll, maintaining payroll information, responding to payroll-related inquiries, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in a similar role and proficiency in accounting software systems.

Job Responsibility:

Assist in the weekly processing of payroll
Review and verify time-keeping records
Distribute payroll checks and stubs
Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll information
Maintain electronic filing system
Onboard new employees
Respond to employment verification requests
Familiarize with payroll systems
Assist with Year-End Payroll tasks
Set up and maintain union and wage codes
Generate monthly union reports
Update employee details
Respond to employee inquiries

Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience in a Payroll Administrator role or similar
Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
Experience with ADP Workforce Now
Knowledge of Ceridian software system
Ability to work with Crystal Reports
Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration
Familiarity with About Time software
Understanding of Accounting Functions
Auditing skills
Experience in Benefit Functions

Nice to have:

Familiarity with About Time software
