Join Our Client as a Payroll Assistant - 12 Month FTC! Are you ready to take the next step in your payroll career? Our client is seeking a dedicated Payroll Assistant to join their dynamic payroll team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment, supporting diverse businesses, particularly in the healthcare sector!

Job Responsibility:

Accurately processing payroll data, ensuring all changes-temporary and permanent-are handled meticulously
Generating payroll reports and ensuring timely submissions to meet client deadlines
Serving as the first point of contact for payroll queries via phone and email
Managing pension administration and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
Liaising directly with HMRC on payroll-related matters to maintain transparency and accuracy

Requirements:

A solid understanding of payroll processes with previous experience in a payroll role
Experience in an accountancy practise or the healthcare sector is desirable
Familiarity with IRIS (STAR) Payroll Professional is preferred
Proficiency in Excel and Outlook to streamline payroll tasks effectively
Have a keen eye for detail and take a proactive approach to problem-solving
Enjoy working in a structured, process-driven role that demands accuracy and efficiency
Are adaptable and eager to learn, keeping up-to-date with payroll regulations and best practises

Nice to have:

Experience in an accountancy practise or the healthcare sector
Familiarity with IRIS (STAR) Payroll Professional
